Marking the Ballot

Please note the following change on how to properly mark your ballot. Instead of the traditional white circle where the voter inserts an “X” beside the candidate name of choice, voters will now find an “arrow”.

Voters are expected to completely fill in the target area that appears within the red arrow to the right of the relevant candidate’s name.

The Town of Richmond Hill will be using Vote Tabulators to record the votes.

Please make sure that you are completely “filling in” the arrow pointing to the candidate of your choice. The tabulators may not pick up an “X” placed within the arrow.
